Steel plates are flat sheets of steel that are poured with steel,
cooled and pressed. It is flat, rectangular and can be rolled
directly or sheared from wide steel strip. Steel plate is divided
by thickness, thin steel plate <4mm (thinnest 0.2mm), medium
thick steel plate 4~60mm, extra thick steel plate 60~115mm. Steel
plates are divided by rolling, into hot-rolled and cold-rolled. The
width of thin plate is 500~1500mm; the width of thick is
600~3000mm. Sheet by steel grade, there are ordinary steel,
high-quality steel, alloy steel, spring steel, stainless steel,
tool steel, heat-resistant steel, bearing steel, silicon steel and
industrial pure iron sheet, etc.; by professional use, there are
oil barrel with plate, enamel with plate, bulletproof with plate,
etc.; by surface coating layer, there are galvanized sheet,
tin-plated sheet, lead-plated sheet, plastic composite steel plate,
etc.
